On Tuesday 11th February 2020 at the “Auditorium Parco della Musica” in Rome, took place the Supplier Day Procurement Italia sponsored by Dott. Alda Paola Baldi, Enel Procurement Italia Manager, in order to create a moment of encounter and confrontation between representatives of big and middle companies that work with Enel.
What are Supplier Days? It’s about events organized periodically by Enel, in Italy and in other countries where the company operates, to create a direct channel of comparison with the suppliers. On these occasions best practices, future business challenges and transformations are presented and shared.
In our company mission INNOVATION and SUSTAINABILITY are now an inseparable pair!
2020 Edition which has just ended, had as theme the sustainability and the circular economy. These are values that Enel puts everyday into practice in his business strategy and shares with his suppliers.
In this context, our president Roberto Grassi has been invited to present the initiatives that the company Grassi 1925 puts in place in terms of sustainability and circular economy.
Here his comment after this beautiful experience: “A very important stage for our company, that is Enel supplier from 1987. It’s undeniable that the relationship with a reality like ENEL encouraged us to growth and make progress: the requests are higher and higher and push us to be always in the frontline in Research & Development.
“I had the opportunity to present the initiatives of Grassi 1925 in terms of environmental sustainability – continues Roberto Grassi – From our startup Gr10K for the recovery of deadstock fabrics to the Humana project for the reuse of garments lying in the warehouse up to the ZeroWaste – Cradle to Cradle Project which allowed us to create totally biocomposable garments.
But we cannot forget social sustainability: the WHP project of the Lombardy Region, ASL and the Unione degli Industriali della Provincia di Varese, “Amici della Grassi” Association and many other initiatives designed to reconcile family and work “.
“I would have liked to tell a lot more about us” concludes Roberto Grassi “because when there is a passion for one’s work as in my case time is never enough! I hope there will be other occasions of this kind because they are truly stimulating and full of ideas: in the meantime I thank Enel and the organizers for choosing us as a testimony and example! “”
